We got CA!!!!!

Just got the email from Terry a bit ago. We got a CA for June 30th. Now that is the last thing we do in China. So we have to be there earlier. We need to be in China by the 22nd in order to meet Miss Autumn the 23rd. We will leave either the 19th or 20th. I can't decide if it will be worth it to get there with an extra day to get acclimated, especially for Anna Lin. But then that mean we have to wait another 24 hours to get Autumn. I'll let y'all know the plans.

Michelle got the same CA date! Yay!!!! They are also going to Zhejiang. I emailed our travel agent for her to work her magic. Alright Sue let's rock 'n roll!

Yes, the TA arrived & a little scare for Anna LIn...

I found out recently that yes the TA's arrived in the CHI office yesterday. Stefani, from CHI, said our CA requests were sent in. Now we wait... She said it could be up to 5 business days. We are still hoping for information by Friday. (Because I really, really, really want he CA so I can make travel arrangements. I want to cross that off the list I still have to make at some point in time...) We also found out that a family who we thought did not get TA actually did. It just wasn't reported in the computer log of TA's. Their TA came with the paper TA's. (Hope that isn't confusing.) Yay! We are very excited for them!

We had a little scare with Anna Lin. She had this red area on her neck the other day. When I looked at it I thought it was a bug bite, even saw a teeny tiny hole. Last evening she had a red line coming from it following her collar bone almost. Called the nurse on call and she said it sounded like shingles. I thought it sounded like a bug bite that she was reacting to or was infected. (No fever, no pain, some itching...) But who knows, right? So, we're scrambling to figure out what to do if she does have shingles. It's the last week of school, we'll be traveling soon, AL has a ballet performance Friday night with practice tomorrow, and Ric is heading home to see his mom this Friday. He's wondering if he'll infect anyone, etc., etc., etc. They go to the doctor this morning and she says...bug bite. The doctor herself had recently had a reaction similar. Didn't know the name of the bug though. She put her on an antibiotic in case it is an infection, rather than just a reaction.

Yay! No worries!

We get LSC and TA!

LSC is Letter Seeking Confirmation. TA is travel approval. I'm just not the regular on top of it poster I was with Anna Lin's blog. Hmmm...I wonder why that is??? Maybe it is a little bit of six-year old Anna Lin, mixed with a small part of three teenage boys Zak, Spencer & Noah, their taxi requirements, and homework issues, add in a full time job, with a dash of my need for chaos as I worked on my National Boards for Teachers (portfolio finished April 14th, test finished last Friday!), and then a smidgen of hubby (sorry dear, you know I love you) thrown into my crazy pot of life. But it's my crazy life and I like it that way.

Anyway, we received our LSC May 5th and returned is ASAP, marking yes we want to proceed with getting Miss Autumn, here's our signatures, now out the door and onto the FedEx truck with you. Then we waited for our TA. Well, we found out Friday (directly before I went to take my test!!!) that it is in the mail. I was all goosebumpy, teary eyed as I drove to take my test, telling myself, "Shake it off Ang and focus on school library test stuff, not going to China stuff!"

We've filled out our U.S. Consulate appointment sheet with our requested dates, and now wait for it to arrive and the requests to be made. I'm sure Monday's holiday threw the mail off a day. I am really hoping it will get in and we would know our CA (consulate appointment) by this Friday. We are hoping for a CA of June 23rd, as are many other families. If we get this, we will need to leave June 13th at the latest. We get out of school June 5th, so that will give me a week (almost) to get things together. Your Ca is always right before you go home. This is the U.S. appointment for our new child, saying "Alright little girl, welcome to your USA family. You can now come home."

Well I guess the wait is not a problem, especially now that things are slowing down with the end of school and all. I just would really, really, really like to know the date so we can make our arrangements. We cannot make any arrangements until we have dates. If we had dates, then I could definately make the arrangements (flights, hotels, etc.), but I don't have the dates yet. Though I would really, really, really like to the have the dates as soon as possible. OK mail carrier, are you listening???? OK Consulate people, are hearing me???? I would really like to have a date so I can make arrangements.

Tuesday, April 22, 2008, post moved

(OK. I've actually moved this from my original blog. I wanted to change the address from seventh to 7th and couldn't figure out how to do it other than starting from scratch. So, I started from scratch since I only had one post (and one comment. Thanks Lisa!)

Tuesday, April 22...
We will soon be entering 'Seventh Heaven'. Well, at least when CCAA (China adoption department) decides to send us our LOA (Letter of Approval) or SOC (Seeking of Confirmation), whatever they are now calling it. Then we wait three weeks after that for TA (Travel Approval). And finally approximately two to three weeks from then we will officially enter 'Seventh Heaven' when our Miss Autumn joins the family. I know you were taught in school that one and one makes two. ...Well, that just isn't so with our family. Soon, one and one will make seven! Luckily we have enough seats in both vehicles to fit all seven of us. I do believe that technically the Expedition can hold eight... Oh well think about that later. ;-)With the time getting so close to getting Miss Autumn, I knew I needed to set up a blog. However, I didn't want to set up a separate one. I wanted something for the whole family and now we have it. I will do my best to get everyone up to speed. This will be where we post during our China trip and afterwards. One day may be about number one son. Another day about number three son or number one daughter. Can you believe soon we'll have a number two daughter!!!!!
